Bellows Steam Trap - Product Brief

The main actuating element of the bellows steam trap is a metal bellows, which opens and closes the valve based on the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. It is widely used in main steam pipelines, trace heating pipelines, dryers, and industrial heating steam equipment systems, and is an ideal choice for heating radiators.

Structural Features of Bellows Steam Trap:

  1. Simple structure and convenient maintenance.

  2. All components are made of alloy-treated stainless steel, featuring wear resistance and cavitation resistance, with a long service life.

  3. Strong venting capacity, rapid drainage, and flexible installation methods.

  4. Multiple bellows combinations are available to meet applications with higher displacement requirements.

  5. Zero leakage, with a backpressure rate of over 75%.

Working Principle of Bellows Steam Trap:

The core actuating component of the bellows steam trap is a metal bellows filled with a liquid whose vaporization temperature is lower than the saturation temperature of water. When the equipment is first started, low-temperature condensed water appears in the pipeline, and the liquid inside the bellows is in a condensed state, keeping the valve open. As the temperature of the condensed water gradually rises, the filling liquid in the bellows begins to evaporate, causing the pressure inside the bellows to increase. The diaphragm then drives the valve core to move in the closing direction. Before the condensed water reaches the saturation temperature, the steam trap is fully closed. The bellows controls the opening and closing of the valve according to changes in steam temperature, achieving the function of steam trapping and water draining. Two types of bellows are available, with valve opening temperatures 15℃ and 30℃ lower than the saturation temperature respectively.
