PTFE-Lined Ball Valves
PTFE-Lined Ball Valves: Features, Technical Parameters & Applications
The inner wall of the valve body and the exterior of internal components of PTFE-lined ball valves are fully covered with fluoroplastic. All parts in contact with the medium are lined with fluoroplastic to achieve excellent corrosion resistance. The inner cavity and ball are lined with corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant perfluoroethylene-propylene copolymer (F46) through high-pressure injection molding process. Widely used in chemical, petroleum, metallurgical, pharmaceutical and other industrial sectors, these valves realize the regulation or shut-off of strong corrosive media such as acids and alkalis during production, and demonstrate remarkable performance in water treatment process control.
Structural Features
Superior Chemical Stability: Ball valves with FEP lining layers exhibit high chemical stability and can be compatible with all strong corrosive media exceptmolten alkali metals and elemental fluorine.
Full Bore & Floating Ball Structure: The valves can achieve leak-free shut-off across the entire pressure range, facilitating unobstructed flow and maintenance of the pipeline system.
Integral Ball & Stem Design: The closure element (ball) and valve stem are cast (or forged) as a single unit, eliminating the possibility of stem ejection from the pressure-bearing components due to pressure fluctuations, and fundamentally ensuring operational safety in engineering applications.
Compact & Leak-Free Construction: The valve body features a compact and rational design with a small inner cavity, reducing medium retention. The sealing surfaces offer excellent tightness, and combined with the herringbone ring PTFE packing assembly, the valves achieve zero leakage.
Two-Piece & Three-Piece Configurations: These structures can adapt to various pipeline systems and operating conditions. Among them, the three-piece ball valve allows separation of the main valve body from the two side valve bodies, enabling quick online replacement and maintenance.
