PTFE Lined Electromagnetic Flowmeter
The PTFE lined electromagnetic flowmeter measures flow rate based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. This product is mainly used to measure volumetric flow of conductive media. It adopts 304 stainless steel body, PTFE lining and 316L electrodes, featuring low pressure loss and wide measurable flow range. The ratio of maximum flow to minimum flow is generally above 20:1.

Application Fields
The PTFE lined flowmeter supports a wide range of industrial pipe sizes from DN10 to DN2000. The output signal has linear relation with measured flow with high accuracy. It can measure fluid flow of acid, alkali, salt solution, water, sewage, corrosive liquid, mud, ore slurry, pulp and other media with conductivity ≥5μs/cm. It is widely used for flow measurement in chemical industry, metallurgy, textile, papermaking, environmental protection, food industry, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, cooling water, waterworks, municipal administration, water conservancy construction, river dredging, building water supply metering and other fields.

This intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter is developed by our company adopting advanced domestic and foreign technology. The input impedance of the converter reaches up to 10¹⁵ ohms, common-mode rejection ratio is better than 100db, and suppression capacity against external interference and 50Hz/60Hz interference exceeds 90db. It can measure fluid media with lower conductivity. The sensor adopts non-uniform magnetic field technology and special magnetic circuit structure for stable and reliable magnetic field. It greatly reduces overall size and realizes miniaturized design.

Liner Material Selection Table
| Liner Material | Main Performance | Max Temp (Integrated) | Max Temp (Remote) | Application Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PTFE (F4) | Chemically stable plastic, resistant to boiling hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, concentrated alkali and various organic solvents. | 70℃ | 100℃, 250℃ (Special order) | 1. Strongly corrosive media such as concentrated acid and alkali. 2. Sanitary media. |
| FEP (F46) | Same chemical resistance as PTFE; better wear resistance and negative pressure resistance than PTFE. | 70℃ | Same as above | Same as above |
| PVDF (Fs) | Lower maximum operating temperature than PTFE with lower cost. | - | 80℃ | General corrosive media |
| Neoprene Rubber | 1. Good elasticity, high tensile strength and excellent wear resistance. 2. Resistant to low-concentration acid, alkali and salt media, not suitable for oxidizing media. | - | 80℃, 120℃ (Special order) | Water, sewage, low-abrasion mud and ore slurry. |
| Polyurethane Rubber | 1. Excellent wear resistance. 2. Poor corrosion resistance. | - | 80℃ | Neutral high-abrasion ore slurry, coal slurry and mud. |
Electrode Material Selection Table
| Electrode Material | Corrosion & Wear Resistance |
|---|---|
| 316 Stainless Steel (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti) | Suitable for weakly corrosive media such as industrial water, domestic water and sewage; widely used in petrochemical, steel, municipal and environmental protection industries. |
| Hastelloy B | Good resistance to hydrochloric acid of all concentrations below boiling point. |
| Hastelloy C | Resistant to non-oxidizing acids such as nitric acid, mixed acids and mixed media of chromic acid and sulfuric acid. |
| Titanium | Resistant to seawater, organic acids and alkalis. Not resistant to pure reducing acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Corrosion can be greatly reduced if oxidants exist in acids. |
| Tantalum | Excellent corrosion resistance similar to glass. Resistant to almost all chemical media including boiling hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid below 150℃, except fuming sulfuric acid and strong alkali. |
| Platinum-Iridium Alloy | Resistant to almost all chemical media, except aqua regia and ammonium salts. |
| Stainless Steel Coated Tungsten Carbide | For non-corrosive and high-abrasion media. |
Note: Medium types are diverse, and corrosion is affected by complex factors such as temperature, concentration and flow velocity. This table is for reference only. Users shall make selection according to actual working conditions. Corrosion tests such as coupon test are recommended if necessary.
