1. Definition of High-Pressure Ferrule Filter

The high-pressure ferrule filter is an indispensable device in medium-conveying pipeline systems. Its function is to filter out mechanical impurities in the medium, and it can filter rust, sand particles, etc. in sewage to protect fittings on equipment and pipelines from wear and blockage. The filter is widely used in fields such as metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, papermaking, medicine, food, mining, electric power, and urban water supply—for example, in the filtration of industrial wastewater and circulating water, the regeneration of emulsion, the filtration treatment of waste oil, the continuous casting water system and blast furnace water system in the metallurgical industry, and the high-pressure water descaling system for hot rolling. It is an easy-to-operate fully automatic filtering device.

4. Selection Principles of High-Pressure Ferrule Filter

  • Inlet and Outlet Diameter: In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the ferrule-type T-shaped straight-through filter should not be smaller than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, and it is generally consistent with the diameter of the inlet pipeline.

  • Nominal Pressure: Determine the pressure class of the filter according to the possible pressure in the filtering pipeline.

  • Selection of Mesh Count: Mainly consider the particle size of impurities to be intercepted, which is determined based on the process requirements of the medium flow. The particle size that can be intercepted by various specifications of filter screens can be inquired directly from our company.

  • Filter Material: The material of the ferrule-type T-shaped straight-through filter is generally the same as that of the connected process pipeline. For different service conditions, filters made of cast iron, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, or stainless steel can be considered.
