U-type Sanitary Diaphragm Valves
U-type Sanitary Diaphragm Valves - Overview, Technical Parameters & Applications
The U-type sanitary diaphragm valve is used for sampling and water consumption points on pipelines in accordance with production processes, complying with GMP requirements. Installed on annular pipelines, the valve ensures no dead corners at the water consumption points. The sealing material adopts imported PTFE as the diaphragm, meeting the cleanliness requirements. The valve is equipped with a limiting device to prevent diaphragm damage caused by excessive force during closing. It is a widely used sanitary diaphragm valve in biopharmaceutical factories at present.

Applications of U-type Sanitary Diaphragm Valve
It avoids the retention between the weirs of straight-through diaphragm valves welded on the U-type three-way branch pipes, reduces the number of welds, improves the finish of the material of construction (MOC) contact surface, and features horizontal pipelines with minimal length.
In compliance with the aseptic design specification of SAME BPE 2005: SD-3.11.1, the L/D ratio is ≤2:1. It eliminates the hidden danger of bacterial growth caused by fluid retention areas generated at the discharge port, ensuring absolute safety of the circulation loop.
