ANSI/ASME Ball Valves: Introduction, Features & Technical Parameters

ANSI/ASME ball valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with ANSI and ASME standards, and are widely used in petroleum, chemical, natural gas, electric power and other industries. Ball valves control the on-off of fluid by rotating the ball. Due to their characteristics of excellent sealing performance, simple operation and small flow resistance, they have become one of the commonly used valves in fluid control systems.

Features of ANSI/ASME Ball Valves

Simple Structure: ANSI/ASME ball valves are composed of a small number of components, with compact structure, small volume, light weight, and easy installation and maintenance.

Excellent Sealing Performance: Ball valves adopt full-port design, and the sealing performance between the valve core (ball) and the valve seat is extremely good, suitable for working conditions requiring tight closing.

Small Flow Resistance: Since the flow channel of the ball valve is straight-through, when the valve is fully open, the fluid almost has no resistance and the pressure drop is extremely small, which is very suitable for handling working conditions that need to maintain high flow rate.

Convenient Operation: The opening and closing operation of the ball valve usually only needs to rotate 90 degrees to complete, which is simple and fast, especially suitable for occasions requiring quick opening and closing.

Strong Adaptability: ANSI/ASME ball valves can be applied to a variety of media, such as water, oil, gas, corrosive media, etc., and can work normally under high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions.

Reliable and Durable: The friction between the ball and the sealing ring is small, the wear is slow, the sealing performance is not easy to be damaged by the scouring of the medium, and the service life is long.

Two-Way Sealing: Most ball valves have a two-way sealing function, that is, no matter which direction the medium flows in, it can be effectively sealed, adapting to the needs of different installation directions.
