Ammonia Ball Valve
The sealing surface of ammonia service ball valve is made of Babbitt alloy, and the ball adopts a floating structure. The ball moves to open and close under medium pressure. It can resist corrosion from ammonia gas and liquid ammonia, and works at temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 120℃. The valve body adopts precision casting to avoid poor corrosion resistance and shell perforation. It is widely applied in refrigeration, chemical industry, petroleum, food processing, smelting, liquefied gas and other working conditions.

Working Principle of Ammonia Service Ball Valve
The ammonia service ball valve shares the same principle as ordinary flanged ball valves. The closure member is a ball, which rotates 90° around the axis of the valve stem to realize opening and closing. It is mainly composed of valve body, ball, valve seat, valve stem, handle and other components. The Q41B ammonia service ball valve adopts two-piece flanged cast steel structure assembled by left and right valve bodies. The left valve body is flanged tubular and matched with the bowl surface of the right valve body. A seat sealing ring is installed inside each side, clamping a ball between them. The ball is equipped with a through hole whose diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the pipeline.

Application Fields
Ammonia service ball valves are installed on pipelines carrying ammonia, liquid ammonia, Freon and refrigerants in refrigeration and chemical processes to control fluid on-off. This special ball valve is developed according to special requirements of refrigeration systems with advanced and reliable manufacturing processes. The ball adopts high-temperature molding and PTFE (CF4) thermal coating treatment. It features ammonia corrosion resistance, reliable sealing, zero leakage and long service life. It overcomes common defects of similar products such as easy corrosion, leakage and short service life, and is an advanced dedicated ball valve for refrigeration processes.
The liquid ammonia ball valve can be mounted at any angle on pipelines without restriction of installation position. It meets maintenance standards of chemical enterprises and refrigeration processes. Performance tests verify its vacuum deformation and sealing performance fully meet design requirements. It is widely used in production equipment and pipelines of chemical and refrigeration industries.
