High-Temperature Butterfly Valves
High‑temperature butterfly valve is a valve equipment for pipeline systems. It is mainly applied in flue gas ducts and gas pipelines carrying high‑temperature media, serving as flow regulation or shut‑off devices for gas media in many industrial fields including building materials, metallurgy, power, chemical and environmental protection industries.

Working Principle
The high‑temperature butterfly valve is driven by actuators such as manual, electric and pneumatic devices to rotate the valve shaft and drive the disc, so as to realize pipeline opening, closing and flow regulation. For ultra‑high temperature working conditions above 650℃, special structures such as five‑bar offset connecting rod can be adopted. The sealing surface of the disc moves away from the valve body sealing surface before rotation to avoid jamming caused by thermal expansion.
Product Features
Both the sealing rings of valve body and disc adopt pure hard alloy surface with elastic groove structure, which prevents sealing pair biting under high temperature and ensures reliable sealing performance.
Packing assemblies are installed between both upper and lower ends of valve body and valve shaft. Packing, packing sleeve, gland, packing spring and pressure plate are arranged from inside to outside. When temperature changes, the packing spring delivers good external sealing effect.
The valve shaft is connected with upper and lower bonnets via external bearings, ensuring flexible rotation of valve shaft under high‑temperature conditions.
Product Maintenance
The high‑temperature butterfly valve is mainly installed on pipelines for fluid control and shut‑off. Adopting triple eccentric structure, it achieves reliable sealing performance. Its seat and disc are made of stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and long service life. Please perform maintenance as below:
1. Keep the valve clean and lubricate drive threads regularly.
2. Check whether bolts of packing gland are tightened evenly.
3. Do not use this valve for flow regulation to avoid erosion on sealing surfaces.
4. For long‑term storage, inspect periodically and store in dry and clean environment. Apply anti‑rust oil on exposed valve body surfaces.
Application Fields
High‑temperature butterfly valves are widely used in high‑temperature waste gas treatment systems such as RTO, RCO and VOC treatment, as well as industrial high‑temperature pipelines in metallurgy, chemical, power, petrochemical, building materials, environmental protection, pharmaceutical and other industries for on‑off and flow control of high‑temperature gas or materials. In high‑temperature flue gas pipelines of metallurgy and petrochemical industries, it controls and regulates media such as high‑temperature flue gas and dust‑laden gas.
