PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves
PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves: Introduction, Features & Technical Parameters
PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves are a special type of butterfly valve. The contact surfaces of their valve body and valve disc are covered with a layer of corrosion-resistant fluoroplastic (such as PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene). They are mainly used to handle highly corrosive media, such as acids, alkalis, salts, and various organic solvents. PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves are widely used in industries with high requirements for valve corrosion resistance, such as chemical industry, petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, and food processing industry.
Features of PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: PTFE-lined materials (such as PTFE, FEP, PFA, etc.) have extremely strong chemical inertness, which can resist the corrosion of most chemical media, making the valve suitable for handling corrosive fluids such as strong acids and strong alkalis.
Wide Temperature Adaptation Range: PTFE-lined materials have good high-temperature resistance and can maintain stable physical and chemical properties within a wide temperature range (usually -50℃ to 200℃).
Low Friction Coefficient: The surface of PTFE-lined materials is smooth with a low friction coefficient, which can reduce the resistance during valve opening and closing and extend the service life of the valve.
Good Sealing Performance: Due to the good elasticity and flexibility of PTFE-lined materials, PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves usually have excellent sealing performance, which can effectively prevent leakage.
Compact Structure: The butterfly valve has a simple structure, small size and light weight, which is convenient for installation and maintenance, and also saves pipeline space.
Two-Way Sealing: Many PTFE-Lined Butterfly Valves are designed with two-way sealing, which can prevent medium from flowing in two directions and improve the safety and reliability of the system.
