Pneumatic Center-Line Rubber Sealed Butterfly Valve
1. Product Overview
The pneumatic center-line rubber sealed butterfly valve features a coaxial design where the rotation center of the butterfly disc (valve shaft center) is aligned with the geometric center of the valve body. The valve is directly connected to the pneumatic actuator. According to different connection methods, it is divided into pneumatic wafer center-line butterfly valves and pneumatic flange center-line butterfly valves.
The butterfly disc adopts an automatic centering function in vertical and horizontal directions. It is generally designed as a soft sealing structure with common sealing materials including rubber and PTFE. Due to the continuous extrusion and friction between the disc and valve seat during opening and closing cycles, the sealing surface is prone to scraping and faster wear, which is the main structural limitation of center-line butterfly valves.
2. Performance Features
The upper and lower contact surfaces of the butterfly disc are wide, resulting in relatively large friction and operating torque during switching. Whether the valve is fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface between the disc and the valve seat remains in a compressed sealing state, providing excellent and stable sealing performance.
With a simple symmetrical I-type center-line structure, the valve supports bidirectional sealing with identical sealing effect in both flow directions. It features low flow resistance and flexible switching torque. Rated for medium and low pressure working conditions, it delivers stable comprehensive performance for conventional industrial pipelines.
3. Application Advantages & Scope
The pneumatic center-line butterfly valve has no flow direction limitation during installation, enabling free directional mounting on site. Its simple structure allows convenient on-site disassembly and maintenance. The sealing ring can be replaced without completely removing the valve from the pipeline, greatly reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Widely applicable for working pressures below 1.6MPa, it is commonly used in water treatment, HVAC, municipal engineering, general industrial fluid pipelines and other medium & low-pressure systems.
