Product Overview
The pneumatic insulated ball valve is an automatic control valve specially designed for high-viscosity, easy-to-solidify or heat-preserving media. Driven by a pneumatic actuator to rotate the ball, it realizes rapid cut-off or flow regulation of the medium. Its core feature is the insulated jacket design (which can be connected to steam or heat transfer oil), which effectively prevents the medium from solidifying or crystallizing in low-temperature environments. It is widely used in industrial scenarios requiring insulated transportation such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
Working Principle of Pneumatic Insulated Ball Valve
1. Pneumatic Drive: The pneumatic actuator receives control signals (such as 4-20mA or on-off signals), converts compressed air into mechanical torque, and drives the valve stem to rotate the ball.
2. Ball Action: - Opening: The through hole of the ball is aligned with the pipeline, allowing the medium to flow; - Closing: The ball rotates 90°, and the through hole is perpendicular to the pipeline to cut off the medium.
3. Insulation Function: An insulated jacket layer is provided outside the valve body, which can be connected to steam, heat transfer oil or electric tracing to maintain the temperature of the medium in the valve and prevent blockage or solidification.
Performance Characteristics of Pneumatic Insulated Ball Valve
1. Insulation Performance: The jacket design has high insulation efficiency, and the medium temperature difference is ≤3℃.
2. Sealing Performance: Soft seal (PTFE/graphite) or metal hard seal, zero leakage.
3. Pressure and Temperature Resistance: Pressure class PN16~PN40, high temperature and high pressure resistance, thermal shock resistance.
4. Flexible Operation: The pneumatic actuator has a fast response (0.5~2 seconds) and supports manual/automatic switching.
5. Long Service Life: The valve body is made of 304/316L stainless steel, corrosion-resistant, suitable for strong acid and strong alkali media.
6. Diversified Design: Supports V-type ball valve (flow regulation), full port/reduced port, and flange connection.
