The Twin Seal DBB Plug Valve (General Valve) is suitable for pipeline working conditions in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, chemical fertilizer and power industries. Its nominal pressure ranges from CLASS150‑900LBS and 1.6~32.0MPa, working temperature ranges from -29℃ to 150℃, for cutting off or connecting pipeline media.

Product Features

1. Sealing performance is realized by sealing rings around the valve disc. Unique dovetail groove protects and fixes the sealing ring.

2. Bi‑directional flow design for easier installation and operation.

3. Component materials and flange dimensions can be reasonably selected according to actual working conditions or user requirements to meet various engineering demands.

Working Principle

When the valve is fully open, the passage of the plug aligns with the valve body passage to ensure ideal low pressure drop. When rotating the handwheel, the plug rotates toward the valve and drives the valve disc to rotate 90 degrees. Further rotation of the handwheel pushes the plug downward, spreading the valve disc toward both sides and pressing it tightly against the valve seat to close the valve.

When the handwheel rotates in reverse direction, the plug moves upward first to separate the valve disc from the seat. Continue rotating the handwheel, the plug drives the valve disc to rotate 90 degrees, then the plug passage aligns with the valve body passage and the valve reaches fully‑open status.

The advantage of this valve is that the valve disc keeps separated from the seat during opening, achieving zero‑friction operation without sealing surface wear. Soft sealing structure ensures zero‑leakage under closed condition.
