PTFE Lined Plug Valve
PTFE Lined Plug Valve adopts a perforated plug as the opening and closing component. The plug rotates with the valve stem to realize opening and closing actions. It features quick opening/closing and low fluid resistance. There are two basic series: fully lined plug valve and sleeve lined (half-lined) plug valve. This valve is mostly used to cut off medium flow, and can also distribute media (3-way plug valve).

Two Basic Series of PTFE Lined Plug Valve
Model X43F: The sealing pair consists of specially designed lined seat sleeve (PTFE or polyphenylene sulfide) and steel plug; the plug body is stainless steel without lining.
Model X43F46: All inner surfaces of valve body and plug passages are lined with FEP. Derived types lined with PFA, PCTFE and PPL (operating temperature up to 300℃) as well as new polyphenylene sulfide insert seats are available to meet diverse working conditions. X43F and X43F46 self-lubricating plug valves are equipped with unique rocker arm adjusting device and optimized plug cone angle. They deliver excellent sealing performance and long service life, with simultaneous sealing at inlet and outlet ends. The sealing pair has low friction coefficient during operation, the plug rotates flexibly and no lubrication is required permanently.
Structural Features of PTFE Lined Plug Valve
Double-groove sealing ring structure is adopted for inlet and outlet windows of valve body. During plug rotation, the specific sealing pressure between sealing pairs changes gradually, and sufficient specific sealing pressure will be formed at fully open or fully closed position to achieve zero leakage of sealing pairs.
The double-groove sealing ring fixes the PTFE sleeve firmly inside the valve body to prevent displacement, absorbs tiny deformation of the sleeve caused by temperature difference. Meanwhile, strong wiping action between sleeve and plug extends the service life of sealing surfaces.
The upper part of plug shaft is composed of PTFE diaphragm, O-ring and adjusting gaskets. It can adjust the specific sealing pressure between sealing surfaces for flexible plug rotation, and ensure reliable sealing at inlet, outlet and middle flange joint.
The overall sealing performance is almost independent of pipeline internal pressure.
Fillers of different materials are added inside PTFE sleeves according to operating temperature and medium for superior lubrication.
