Product Overview

The stainless steel bimetallic steam trap is the most structurally robust type among thermostatic steam traps. Its advantages include: water hammer resistance, high pressure resistance, compact size, light weight, frost resistance, automatic air venting, installation in any position, and a back pressure rate exceeding 80%. This steam trap is widely applicable for steam main pipelines, pipeline tracing, instrument tracing, domestic heating, and drainage of high-temperature condensate from heating equipment where condensate retention is permitted.

Working Principle

The bimetallic steam trap operates by using a bimetallic strip temperature-sensing element to drive the valve core for opening and closing. During initial startup of the system, low-temperature condensate appears in the pipeline, and the bimetallic strip remains flat, keeping the valve core in the open position under spring force. As the condensate temperature gradually rises, the bimetallic strip temperature-sensing element begins to bend and deform, pushing the valve core toward the closed position. The steam trap is fully closed before the condensate reaches saturation temperature. High-temperature condensate is consistently retained at the valve inlet, eliminating steam leakage and achieving excellent energy-saving effects.
